-- Calydon, a charmed city protected by Apollo, is mentioned for the first time.

Actors and Actresses
-- Norman Forsey portrays the blind seer Tiresias.

Monsters
-- Hercules must kill the Stymphalian Bird. The Bird is another child of Echidna, along with the Hydra and the She-Demon.
-- Creatures made of bone spring from dragons' teeth sown in the earth.

Mythological Connections
-- Tiresias, the blind seer, is noted, among other things, for his predictions about Oedipus -- that he would marry his mother and kill his father.
-- The task of killing the Stymphalian Birds was one of Hercules' Twelve Labors. The birds, so named because they resided in a lake near the town of Stymphalos, were merely large, fierce birds.
-- Castor is the twin brother of Pollux. The two sailed with Jason as Argonauts and eventually became constellations.
