Episode Notes: The Wrong Path

Continuity Errata
-- Iolaus's deceased wife, Anya, and his children, who were mentioned in the movies, are no longer referred to in the series.

Some Things Stay the Same
-- Deianaira is not shown here except in flashbacks, but in the movies and in all episodes she is played by the same actress, Tawny Kitaen.
-- Hercules and Iolaus live on adjacent farms (at least they do before Hera's fireball). Hercules buries Deianaira and his children on the land.
-- Alcmene is played by Elizabeth Hawthorne, who also portrayed her in the movies.

Monsters
-- Hercules kills the She-Demon, a creature who is half-woman, half-snake, with a stinger in her tail that turns humans to stone. The She-Demon is a child of Echidna, the Mother of All Monsters, along with the Hydra, who was slain in Hercules and the Amazon Women.

Silly Stuff
-- The head priest in Hera's temple is portrayed by producer Eric Gruendemann.

Mythological Connections
-- According to mythology, Hercules was driven mad by Hera and killed his family. In order to atone for this, he performed the famous Twelve Labors.
